Educational purposes only
Everything sold on this site — guides, templates, planners, and workbooks — is educational content intended to help you understand credit, debt, and personal finance concepts. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, tax, or credit repair advice specific to your situation.
We are not a credit repair organization
Main Character Credit does not perform credit repair services, dispute items on your behalf, contact credit bureaus for you, or access your credit report or personal credit information in any way. Every product we sell is a self-guided resource that you use on your own. We are not a Credit Repair Organization as defined under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA), because we do not perform any service on a consumer's behalf.
No guaranteed outcomes
We do not and cannot guarantee any specific result, including any increase in your credit score, removal of accurate information from your credit report, loan approval, or any other financial outcome. Credit outcomes depend on many factors specific to your individual situation, and results vary from person to person. Be cautious of anyone — including us — who promises a specific number-of-points increase or guaranteed removal of accurate negative information; no legitimate company can make that promise.
Your rights under federal law
Regardless of anything you purchase from us, you already have certain rights, free of charge:
- You have the right to dispute inaccurate information on your credit report directly with the credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) at no cost.
- Credit bureaus must investigate disputes and correct or remove information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable.
- Accurate negative information generally cannot be removed from your report before it legally expires (typically 7 years, or 10 years for certain bankruptcies).
- You are entitled to a free copy of your credit report from each bureau on a regular basis via annualcreditreport.com.
- You have the right to work with a nonprofit credit counselor or a licensed attorney if you want professional help with your credit or debt.
No professional relationship
Purchasing a product from this site does not create an attorney-client, financial advisor-client, or credit counselor-client relationship. Our founder(s) are not licensed attorneys, CPAs, or certified credit counselors unless specifically stated on this site.
Trademarks
Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion are trademarks of their respective owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any credit bureau, government agency, or financial institution.
